It
is very gratifying to bring lunch to the
build site. Volunteers are thankful
for the simplest fare! Be as creative
or a easy as you desire. Electricity
is available at the site for hot food.
Sandwiches are great on warm days.
- Baked goods- bars or
cookies are also welcome and can be
delivered to the work site or dropped off at
the office.
- Donations of bottled
water are especially welcome in the heat of
summer.
- Call us at the office for
more information. 218-828-8517

Help Alicia Raise Funds
through the Habitat 500 Ride!!!
On
July 11th-17th, I'll be riding in the Habitat
500. A 500 mile cycling ride around Minnesota!
Sandstone>Isle>McGregor>Grand Rapids>Hibbing>Cloquet>Sandstone
I'm raising $900 for Lakes Area Habitat for
Humanity, to further awareness for the need of
affordable housing across Minnesota! I would be
so thankful if you would donate what you can,
and so would those in need of decent affordable
housing, across Crow Wing, Cass and Hubbard
Counties.
Please donate to This AWESOME CAUSE (via my
FirstGiving Page) and follow my training blog!

| A collaborative
project was just completed with Lakes
Area Habitat for Humanity, thanks in
part to funding received through the
Initiative Foundation, a regional
foundation. One of the goals of the
project was to install two solar heating
systems on the homes of area Habitat
participants. One system
has been up and running for a year,
while the other has just been completed.
These systems, along with good
insulation and other energy efficiency
measures, will help the new residents
keep winter heating costs down to an
affordable level. |
