Robert's Family

Robert is a loving father who battled a life of crime and addiction, only to find redemption and faith in God. Robert’s story is one of resilience, transformation, and the unwavering love he holds for his two young boys. Despite the hardships he faced, he is fighting to give them a better life.

The environment that Robert currently lives in is a challenging existence. The home requires a lot of work, and the location places them in an environment that can be difficult for someone in recovery. Robert’s determination to secure a better life for his children led him to partner with Lakes Area Habitat for Humanity.

A Habitat for Humanity house symbolizes not only a roof over their heads but a fresh start and a haven of hope and opportunity. With 50/50 custody of his boys, the new home will allow Robert to shape their lives with the belief that they can overcome any obstacle.
