Habitat for Humanity of Minnesota is pleased to host the 28th annual bike ride in 2020, in partnership with its 28 affiliates. The Habitat 500 is a fundraising event aimed at increasing awareness about the need for decent and affordable housing.
This year’s ride is virtual rather than in person. We’re excited to move forward in planning a virtual event, and provide participants ways to bike, connect with one another, and most importantly to raise funds and awareness for Habitat for Humanity.
The beauty of the ride this year is you can log your miles anytime from the day you register through September. Your whole family can ride as there is a youth category also! There are no specific number of miles you have to ride or dollars to raise. Every mile, every dollar makes a difference. We are looking to reach a goal of $30,000 to help bring 5 families home. You can pedal to build a cycle of hope and help us raise money and awareness for Habitat for Humanity. When you join us for the 2020 Virtual Habitat 500: Bike @ Home, you are changing lives!

Joining them on the Habitat 500 will be Kevin, Cassidy, Cassey and Amanda who will also be pedaling miles throughout the summer to change lives!
A Sound Investment in a Family’s Future
Did you know that your gift does much more than help families escape from unsafe, unhealthy living conditions?
People in your community and all over the world partner with Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place they can call home. With our help, Habitat homeowners achieve the strength, stability and independence they need to build a better life for themselves and their families. And research has shown that decent housing improves health, increases children’s educational achievement and strengthens community ties.
Thanks to your support, Lakes Area Habitat for Humanity has transformed the lives of more than 540 people in the lakes area who now are in safe, decent and affordable homes.
Every mile, every dollar, and every gift makes a difference! Thank you for giving back and helping our Habitat partner families dream of becoming a homeowner come true.
